Statistics and Chemometrics for Analytical Chemistry

Very useful book!4
This is an excellent statistics book for chemists. It has good examples of data from chemical assays and provides relevant analysis of the data to illustrate the points. I work in the pharmaceutical industry and I use it all the time, to give myself a good, all-round understanding of statistics for chemistry. This book doesn't go into in-depth statistics, so if you need something more meaty, look elsewhere. Overall, I found this book to have everything I've needed. I recommend it highly.

I don't know this edition, but the 2nd Edition is great!5
I don't know this edition, but I think the 2nd edition is great! I'm a Ph.D. chemist, but wanted to learn more statistics, and learn it better. I found this book concise, and I thought the authors explained fundamental concepts and did so with admirable clarity. Me and many of my colleagues consider it our best reference on statistics!

Statistics and Chemometrics for Analytical Chemistry Description

This popular textbook gives a clear account of the principles of the main statistical methods used in modern analytical laboratories. Such methods underpin high quality analyses in areas such as the safety of food, water and medicines, environmental monitoring, and chemical manufacturing. The treatment throughout emphasises the underlying statistical ideas, and no detailed knowledge of mathematics is required. There are numerous worked examples, including the use of Microsoft Excel and Minitab, and a large number of student exercises, many of them based on examples from the analytical literature. This book is aimed at undergraduate and graduate courses in Analytical Chemistry and related topics. It will also be a valuable resource for researchers and chemists working in analytical chemistry.
